	Since I don't know your capabilities and education, I can't
suggest a topic.  If you mean social implications of artificial
intelligence, you might explore what would be the consequences
of a politician in Britain or the U.S. deciding that he needed
a "position" on the issue of artificial intelligence, but didn't
have much time to devote to the matter.

	What might happen suggests advantages to letting that
dog sleep for a while.

	You should read Margaret Boden's %2Artificial Intelligence
and Natural Man%1.

	The leading universities in AI in the U.S. are Stanford (Computer
Science Department), M.I.T. (Artificial Intelligence Laboratory),
Carnegie-Mellon (Computer Science) and Texas in Austin (Computer
Science) and Yale (Computer Science).

them.
